Hatha Yoga is a type of yoga which is introduced as the first step to physical purification,that is practiced to achieve higher meditation levels.Its way is practicing asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) .
In the word “Hatha”, “ha” means “sun” and “tha” means the “moon”.Hatha represents opposing energies and objects like sun and moon,male-female,hot and cold,good and evil and so on.
Hatha yoga`s purpose is to ballance the opposing energies through the asanas and breathing techiques along with purification and meditation practices.
Hatha yoga asanas teaches balance and strength and are practiced to improve health and prepair for meditation.
